ERA has demonstrated its capacity and commitment in facilitating African business development:
The South African - Angola Chamber of Commerce (SA-ACC), with over 200 members, is arguably the most successful bilateral chamber in South Africa. A result of an ERA initiative following ERA's highly successful Angola conference in 2002, the Chamber started off in ERA's offices, and is now a model for bilateral trade and investment development and facilitation. ERA's Managing Director has been the Chamber Vice President for the past three years.
The South Africa-Mozambique Chamber of Commerce (SAMOZACC) is another successful bilateral initiative launched from an ERA conference, and SAMOZACC still operates from office space donated by ERA. ERA's Financial Director serves as the CEO of SOMAZACC
The African Trade and Economic Forum (ATEF) represents another of ERA's initiatives in promoting trade and investment in Africa. ERA has made its facilities and other resources available to the African Trade and Economic diplomatic representatives based in South Africa, assisting them in establishing a forum for mutual enrichment and interaction with the corporate world.
